We are excited to offer these programs to our ATL players and believe they are the perfect way to enhance player’s baseball development during the all-important time between fall and spring baseball. The offseason is the time to work on individual development without the demands of games and the pressure to perform. These programs will prepare players for school ball tryouts and beyond. If you have any questions, please reach out to Dan Giordano [email protected]

2022-23 ATL Winter Arm Development

The Winter arm development throwing program is designed to develop arm strength, create healthy arm action, and help prevent future arm injuries. The 22-session program that spans 9-weeks starts in November and finishes in conjunction with middle/high school tryouts in January. The program will prepare throwing athletes for tryouts and the rigors of the school and travel seasons ahead. This program is for ALL players, not just pitchers.
Players in the program will benefit from: improved stability, flexibility, and mobility. Arm health and strength as well as improved arm action are main focuses of the program. Each player will learn the importance of a dedicated routine that includes band work, proper stretching, specific throwing drills, throwing intent and will follow a structured long toss program. New to this year will be implementation of weighted plyocare balls that help map proper arm action and help strengthen the arm.
The program is conducted by members of the ATL coaching staff.

Catchers Winter Training

ATL is thrilled to bring back the catchers training series this winter. This program is designed to build solid fundamentals in all aspects of the most demanding position on the field. Players will work on all major aspects of being behind the plate and will receive instruction on stance, signs, receiving, framing, blocking, throwing, fielding bunts, tags, and the mental aspects of calling games and working with pitchers.
Catchers must bring their own catching gear.
The program will be led by Will Goldberg, ATL director of catching, former catcher at Georgia State University and Marist HS.
