2025-2026 ATL Winter Training

ATL Winter Hitting

The program is designed to develop the complete hitter and is an excellent opportunity to build a skill set that allows the athlete to compete in game. Along with top-tier instruction, your son will receive the best training environment and feedback ATL has to offer. This program will end as school ball tryouts begin, making it the perfect preparation for the spring season. 

ATL Core Hitting Beliefs:

Hit Strikes, Hard in the Air!
Move the bat faster,  Hit the ball hard more often, and learn how to recognize pitches that get off your best swing. 


How We develop:

Blast Motion Sensors and Rapsodo flight monitor to track swing speeds and gather data.
Use of weighted bats and plyo balls that improve swing mechanics, power, barrel accuracy and muscle memory. 

We train game-like conditions: machines and mixed BP along with tee and flip drills. 


Each player who registers will receive a Blast motion sensor which comes with a one year subscription to their premium services ($200 retail) and will also receive a ATL Player Development Email address to link to their Blast and Rapsodo accounts to track data.

2nd, 4th, 9th, 11th, 16th, 18th, 23rd, 30th

Session I (Middle School) - 5:30pm - 6:45pm
Session II (High school) - 6:45pm - 8:00pm

$600
($750 for both Hitting and Arm Development, $50 discount for doing both)




Arm Development 

The Winter arm development throwing program is designed to develop arm strength, create healthy arm action, and help prevent future arm injuries. The 24-session program that spans 9-weeks starts in November and finishes in conjunction with middle/high school tryouts in January. The program will prepare throwing athletes for tryouts and the rigors of the school and travel seasons ahead. This program is for ALL players, not just pitchers.
Players in the program will benefit from: improved stability, flexibility, and mobility. Improved arm strength and arm health.


What you get:
-Pre/Post Throwing Routines
-Proper Use of Plyo Balls
-Proper Use of JBands
-Arm Care Routines
-Structured Long Toss Program
-Learn how to throw with intent
-Competitive Training Environment
-Sprint and Conditioning to supplement 


The program is designed and implemented by Director of Player Development Chico Lizarraga and will be assisted by:

Catchers Winter Training
 
This program is designed to build solid fundamentals in all aspects of the most demanding position on the field. Players will work on all major aspects of being behind the plate and will receive instruction on stance, signs, receiving, framing, blocking, throwing, fielding bunts, tags, and the mental aspects of calling games and working with pitchers.
 
Catchers must bring their own catching gear.
 
The program will be led by:
 

 16 Total Sessions
Sundays and Wednesday evenings
 
November 13th, 17th, 20th, 24th
 
December 1st, 4th, 8th, 11th, 15th, 18th, 22nd, 29th
 
January 5th, 8th, 12th, 15th
