The Winter arm development throwing program is designed to develop arm strength, create healthy arm action, and help prevent future arm injuries. The 24-session program that spans 9-weeks starts in November and finishes in conjunction with middle/high school tryouts in January. The program will prepare throwing athletes for tryouts and the rigors of the school and travel seasons ahead. This program is for ALL players, not just pitchers.

ATL Core Hitting Beliefs:

Move the bat faster.
Hit the ball hard more often.
Hit strikes hard, take balls.

Easier said than done, here’s how we develop them:

Blast, weighted bats, competition, and drills.
Rapsodo, weighted bats, plyo balls, and drills.
We train game-like conditions: machines and mixed BP.

ATL Winter Hitting also includes the best resources that colleges and MLB teams use, including Blast Motion Sensor, TRAQ, and Rapsodo Hitting. Why are these important?

Why Blast?

Blast is a sensor connected to the knob of the hitter’s bat. The sensor measures bat speed, attack angle, hand speed, efficiency, connection, and time to contact. This takes the guesswork out of the equation and allows the coaches to give feedback using a data-driven approach.

Again, the faster you can move the bat- the harder you can hit the ball. Let’s train for this.

Why Rapsodo?

Rapsodo is camera technology that measures exit velocity, launch angle, distance, batted ball spin, and strike zone awareness. Rapsodo gives our players data on how each batted ball would perform in a game and creates an interactive/competitive training environment.
